Laura Good
Founder & CEO
With 20 years of experience in human resources, finance, and education working in Europe, the Middle East, and the United States, she founded AMANA Recruitment & Consulting in 2021. Laura is currently focused on growing the business by partnering with clients to recruit best-fit talent to meet their employment needs.
Laura was selected as a Fulbright scholar to Spain and began her career in Europe working in international admissions and marketing where she partnered with innovative edtech start-ups as a first global client. Next, as part of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority’s human resources team, she helped to build an early recruitment pipeline for the Emirate’s top UAE national talent that has been a model of success throughout the region. While in the Emirates, she also gained experience working as an international school counselor. Coming full circle from the Midwest to the Mideast and back again, she worked for the Honors Program at Iowa State University, where she identified and coached the university’s first Rhodes and Truman Scholars in over a decade and countless other recipients of the nation’s most prestigious awards. Laura’s work has always been driven by her passion to help others succeed and fueled by her ability to recognize talent.
Laura is a professional member of the Society of Human Resource Management. She holds certificates in Strategic Human Resource Management from the University of Michigan and in Investment Foundations from the CFA Institute. A former Fulbright scholar, Laura now serves on the Fulbright National Screening Committee. She has a BA in Spanish from Kansas State University and a MS in Higher Education Administration from the University of Kansas.
